Wind deflectors causing creaks

Just for any others thinking of buying a wind deflector - I've fitted a perspex version which fits across the roll hoops - it creaks like mad at high speed and drives me mad - am fitting damping pads all over to stop this but seems like the hoop covers themselves are now creaking under the extra pressure at speed.
Should have bought the mesh type me thinks?

x2 - I've considered perspex, but the only ones I would try are the ones with OEM-like fixings from roadstersolutions.com (I think)... but they are only available from the US and are really quite expensive.

imo the wind deflectors do spoil the appearance of the car with the roof down.

However they do work!

i used to leave my clipped in the boot during winter... driving 60mph roof down without the windbreak is very blustery within the cabin. With it in place i can even use the handfree and have a conversation at 60mph roof down!!

I've had the Roadster Solutions acrylic windblocker installed for two seasons (http://www.roadstersolutions.com/page69.html)
and can attest to the following:

(a) it is indeed pricey (US$ 250)
(b) it is quite effective (wife-approved)
(c) it is virtually invisible (see pics in above link - red interior is the E85)
(d) it makes absolutely NO noise at any speed up to at least 90mph (perhaps higher, but these endeavors have not been wife-approved)
(e) I have no idea what 'perspex' is -- but images of a perplexed perspirer come to mind

Hi all, Certainly caused some comment. I bought the 'Just Roadster' wind deflector £124 - easy to fit in front of the rool hoops and attaches with clear velcro straps. At speeds above about 40mph the wind pressure makes the perspex bend and creak. The roll hoop covers also start to creak under the pressure at higher speeds.
It is a neat and effective piece of kit and can be bought with a black rubber edging (which I might ring and request). It has stopped much of the centre wind flow that gets sucked in at speed between the hoops and does permit conversation. Still some draught down the centre of the car however. Bought this type as it is near invisible from a distance (especially without the rubber edging). Just wanted to share this issue with other owners that might be considering a deflector.
