Wind deflector

The deflector does make a difference for me. Especially as there is a gap between deflector and the end of the door window. I like the look of it being part of the car, and not a hideous bolt on.

Joe Achilles compared the Z4 and TTRS roadster and found the Z4 to be more cosseted. Shame there isn’t the neck scarf like on the 4 series. Had this on an A3 Cabriolet and used it whenever there was a chill in the air, roof either up or down.

I went on a short drive topless with 60mph max speed and can feel difference with wind deflector. Weather is good, so will test it again today or tomorrow.

Yes the difference is notable.

For other people possibly doing this are the original hoop covers drillable to house the deflector brackets like the E89 or do you need to purchase new ones?

The E89 ones are marked on the inside where the drill holes need to go.

This might sound daft, but even with the windows down, and the deflector in place, its more comfortable than I expected. At least driving around town.
