Wind Deflector . . .

Hey guys, just a quick post for anyone who knows of the top of their heads . . .

I'm taking her in for an oil service on Friday, and i am wondering on the price for a wind deflector. I already have the brackets in place (obviously someone installed one at some point) so it's just the centre piece im needing. Any ideas??
 
ooohh, in brum, which one? maybe i can use them as a bargaining tool if they try and sell it for more . . . Do they actually work well?? only getting it cos the missus gets angry about her hair!

Yes it certainly helps, the difference is noticable with it on though there is still some buffeting. But good enough to stop your missus getting in a strop with her hair :P Bought from Sytners in Sutton Coldfield.
 
You sure its not in the boot lid? Strange the fixing brackets are fitted and its not there!
 
Funnily enough i picked up a Z4 accessories brochure tonight from the dealership in manchester when collecting a replacement bonet alarm sensor, so here goes:-

Wind deflector Honeycomb: Part No 54 34 7 117 745 £140.00 (this is the plastic one which sits between the hoops)
Wind deflector Mesh: Part No 54 70 0 150 671 £120.00 (the naff looking fabric one which pulls pver the hoops) in my opinion of course.

I have the first one and it does make a difference, i can recommend it, not for £140.00 though, i would search ebay, or try and negotiate a discount at least.
 
This is the one i have which has a removeable honeycomb mesh:-

Part no is slightly different to the above though, 54347117746 as opposed to the .......745. :?

Yeah thats the one i have, just checked again in the book and its defo 54 34 7 117 745 unless its a misprint in the catalogue ?. It does say the 'fitting kit must be ordered separately' if that makes a difference to the part no ?....

The 745 is the retrofit kit i think?

EDIT yes it is the retrofit kit, not sure how this differs to the OEM one though.
 
the brackets are on the boot lid, they look the same as the ones on the hoops. if it has been fitted after you mught not get them
 
Think the boot fitting brackets will come with the fitting kit that attatches it to the roll bars so you should already have them in the boot if you have the roll bar brackets.

I had to get the boot rails own there own as these were not supplied with the retrofit kit I or the deflector.

Does the £120 one include the two smaller panels for the hoops?
