Ok I have the OEM wind deflector but which way around should it be ?
It is labelled Right & Left but which perspective ? as you sit in the car or as you look at it from the front ?

To add to the confusion it is quite happy to fit both ways ?

Try both ways on a run see which gives best wind deflection, but I would say A looks the closer fit.

Yeah already tried that and to be honest there's hardly any difference ?

Hey no prob I'm in manchester so it's probably going to be pissing down now so roof will be up anyway
Good look with the MOT - mine had the first one since I've owned it back in April - sailed through no probs and it's 10 years old

L and R will be L and R as you sit behind the wheel and are looking forwards out the windscreen - therefore;

near side (passenger side) = L
and off side (drivers side) = R

Brill I will check tomorrow if it's not raining !

Mine seems to only fit one way :? if it's put in the wrong way round it doesn't click in to place. It looks good but I've never noticed any real difference whether it's on or not - it does however make it difficult to see clearly through the rear view mirror :(

I would go B - have the curved profile facing frontwards.

Its easier with Alpina's as we have the crest printed on it :wink:

I had this conversation with bing and jan a little while ago, I said B (which hasn't been clipped in place in the photo above) they said A. When we looked we noticed the L and R which to me confirmed B with the curves inside.

What am I missing here?

Just as Gav has posted they only fit one way. Correctly, where it clicks and locks into place, hence the locks on both top corners.

Surprised this is a subjective discussion. Which side of the car would you describe as the left side? (assuming fully generalised terminology removing the ability to use nearside/offside or driver/passenger side)

I'd say left is the car's left , right is the car's right. Always. Same when describing the body.

Mine fits and clicks both ways. If I stand behind the car and line it up using the L and R on the deflector then the indented side is facing the back of the car, the flat side the front. Maybe the securing rails were fitted different ways round on different cars, or the positioning on the roll bars is slightly different between cars. Either way I think it looks better curved side outwards so that's how I fit it.
