Wind deflector question

Hi all, back again for another question. I'm toying with the idea of getting a wind deflector for my E89. I'm debating whether to go OEM or perspex.

I found this on eBay https://tinyurl.com/yjfdvfvu and currently has 20% off. Can anybody actually confirm what I'll be getting? Is it the whole centre wind deflector and fixings for the roll-over hoops?

For one moment I thought you were going down a path of no return… :tumbleweed:

Yup that’s a good one..

It’s a wind diffuser ..not a defector or even deflector :poke: :headbang:

Mesh does a few thing, diffuses the draught and non reflective.
Perspex might reflect headlights on coming traffic and might wobble.

Thanks, amended the typo now :) and will start calling it a diffuser.

Do you think the package contains the whole centre section as well as fixings? The listing isn't very clear.

I get the feeling that's just for the centre frame and mesh. I think I'd need to buy the brackets separately and then I'm not sure how it works with the hoops, do I need to buy different ones of those?

I put an ebay link in the buy z related goods section.

It has the hoops with the holes for the brackets and the mesh inserts for the hoops.

If you got those (the mesh hoop inserts are difficult to find) you would just need the wind deflector brackets 4x screws and the actual wind deflector.

It’s easy to fit with some pry tools.

If you don’t buy pre-drilled hoops then you have to drill them yourself and line them up with the holes exactly.

Hi Deepseaskateboard, I just PM'd you. Not sure if your inbox is full? Don't suppose you have the centre section as well?

Don't worry, just bought them. Should have the whole kit now.

I replied.

It’s not my listing, but good that you got them, as they don’t come up for sale often.

You should be able to get brackets and screws from bmw if you don’t have them already.

Perfect, thanks for sharing the listing.
