Wind deflector query

Hi. This is my first post as a newbie - so nobody shout at me.
I've bought a lovely 2003 2.5 to replace my 1988 E30 cabby , which has moved onto warmer climates.
Is a wind-deflector available for the Z4 - and if so, what's the best advice please ?
Cheers

Welcome  There are a number of options available, the best one fits between the roll hoops and fills the gaps between the hoops. Then you have the "gimp mask" and a Perspex version that also fits between the hoops. If you search on here you will find pictures. However, someone will be along shortly demanding photos of your car!!

Without pics we won't be able to assess the wind deflector potential!

Oh and welcome to the forum. - enjoy :driving:

I've got a Perspex deflector and I've had no problems with it. It also gives you the option to customise it haha

The one above is the oem factory fit option. It's the most expensive, but best one to get. You will need to remove you hoop covers and modify slightly. All markings are there though so it's not a hard job. Although you need to be careful removing the covers as they damage easily. You wil break one or two tabs also, but this shouldn't cause any issues.

Luckily, there's an active aftermarket of wind deflectors for the Z4. I'd stay away from the dealer's windscreen, since it costs the most, and others deliver the same or better performance. There's a new contents, BackBlade, that's pretty strong. Anyway, good luck there.

I have the gimp mask option which also works well but does cover the roll hoops.

If you can stretch to one, the above, OEM version is the best and looks the best as well.
