Hi,

I am thinking aout buying a used "genuine" BMW wind deflector on ebay, it's cheap because it doesn't have the mounting brackets.

Does anyone have spare ones they'd like to sell...or are they like Hens teeth ?

They're £20 on eBay UK if that helps - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180891169994

Yes the guy who's selling the wind deflector on ebay said that too, then I got suspicious....why didn't he just buy one and sell it as a complete set he would get more !

Then I thought I could end up with a deflector and fittings that aren't compatible :headbang: I have to check them both out more and make sure that they are compatible ??

The one with the fittings .... they only post to UK :(

Thanks

The part numbers are listed in that auction - you should be able to just order them directly from a BMW dealer (or your favourite online parts supplier) for a similar cost.

How easy is the wind deflector to fit? And is it worth the effort? Could be tempted to pick one up.

Hi,
as far as I can see it's only 4 screws with plastic caps...really easy 8)

Straightforward to fit, take off the front roll hoop covers, mark where the threaded holes are and drill through the covers, then screw the brackets in. Much calmer in the cabin at 50+, been worth it for me :).
