My rear view was getting bad so I decided to clean my wind deflector. Initially I ran it under some cold water and was amazed at the dirt that came out, so a bit of hand wash and a gentle scrub with a sponge and it's much better.
Probably 9 years of dirt on it.
Also gave the rear window a polish which wasn't that bad (but you need to ba a contortionist to do it).
