Hi, the wind blocker was an option from new-you need brackets on the roll hoops to retrofit a blocker to a car that's not had the option ticked.
What's a plex type? the standard mesh one is meant to be more effective as it lets a little air through to combat turbulence, a solid blocker creates more eddies in the cabin

I've been looking at getting one of these also, I was thinking of getting a perspex one as can pick one up for £95 which is much cheaper than a bmw mesh one especially if you need the brackets. Imho I think the perspex look nicer also.......will have to reconsider after smartbears comments :headbang:

There's always the (rather unfairly named) "gimp-style". I am happy with mine:

I have a spare plexi one. I replaced it with an OEM mesh type which imo is much better. The plexi ones can rub and squeak and they also don't block as much wind as the mesh. The biggest difference is noise, until I fitted the mesh I didnt realise how much exhaust sound the plexi blocked and for me, that is a sound you want to enjoy and not block!
I'm on the Herts/beds border if your local and want to try the plexi one out?
