sorry if its been asked before but I couldn't find any answers,

I want to fit non standard tyre sizes to my 2007 2.5si sport E85. they currently have 225/40/18 fronts with 10mm spacers fitted. rears are 255/35/18 with 20mm spacers.

going forward i want to fit 225/45/18 front and retain the 10mm spacers and 255/40/18 at the rear with the 20mm spacers.

has anyone done this before? am i likely to hit the arches with an increase in aspect ratio?

Wouldn't expect a problem on rears unless possibly under big load/compression
Fronts id try your car on full lock to feel the space around , may have to go 215 45 ?
