I'm currently running 108’s which have the following spec:
Front: 8J / et47 / 5 x 120
Back: 8.5J / et50 / 5 x 120
Proposed alloys:
Front: 8.5J / et30 / 5 x 120
Back: 9.5J / et35 / 5 x 120
On the rear running the same size tyres (235/35/18), I should get an increased poke of 27mm.
On the front running the same size tyres (225/40/18) I should get an increased poke of 23mm.
Would I be better going for a square setup of 8.5 all round? 27mm seems too much and 23mm would probably be pushing it? Might require arches rolled? I had to take my 20mm spacers off on the rear due to rubbing, fine with 15mm though.
I know there will be a slight stretch on the tyres but this shouldn’t be too exaggerated?
For what it's worth the car is lowered on Eibachs.
Appreciate any help. I'd have to order the wheels from the US so the last thing I want to do is get them and find they don't fit / cause rubbing. The idea is to use the new wheels for shows / meets and then stick the 108s on for road trips / drives where the car is going to get some stick and there’s more chance of rubbing.
Cheers!
