if his advert is correct then these are NOT genuine CSL, the genuine front CSL has a front offset of +44, hence why many use a spacer on the front to correct the offset, 10m is perfect... but the oem unit was not +37, the rears however are +27 offset.

The retail cost of a set of e46 CSLs is £1800ish not £3,000. These may be E92 comp pack wheels, don't know if they work with z4m

I need a lesson in offsets.
Thought genuine csl's didn't require spacers on an M.

These don't require spacers but... The offset is higher than the stock 18 on the front , this makes the rim look sunken, the spacer corrects this by widening the track which lowers the offset. The lower the offset the closer to the arch line, the higher the more sunken.

Thanks Beedub
Think I get it now.
So a "lower" offset means that the wheel sticks out more hence filling the wheel arch?

Edit.
Ps a minus offset presumably the tyre will touch the wheel arch.

you got it!!

on an 8.5" rim front, offset +35 will be nice and flush with plenty of room for no issues, and the rear a 9.5" rim eith +25 offset will be pretty much bang on, anything their or abouts will be great for your z4m :-) The fronts get me much more aggressive but camber is needed to tuck the rims in, great if your car is a weekend track thing, not so good for a DD. hope this helps
