Will style 157 (ET34) wheels fit an E89?

I want to change to winter tyres for the next 5 months, so I want to pick up a set of 17" wheels for the purpose.

I've seen a set of BMW 157-style alloys in good condition. These are 8J x 17" with a ET34 offset.

Just before I pull the trigger on the purchase, could someone confirm that the ET34 offset (rather than ET29) will be fine?

What difference (if any) will I notice by going for ET34?
