Hi all, simple question, can you fit a fishing rod in a z4 ? Not a deal breaker but curious to know if there is a hatch or something that opens the boot out in to the main cabin?

Depends! I get my fly gear in no problem including bags, big waders and a 1.3m wading staff, had great day's fishing on Exmoor Sunday and probably the best drive I've had for ages, amazingly little traffic and stonking switchback B roads, so fishing and a Zed can make a perfect combo'

Fly fishing is exactly what id be doing a few times a year, how do you fit the rod in the car though with no hatch for it to go into the passenger area through the boot ??

wrong ! the new ones have a ski bag/pass thru option from the boot to the cabin, I have it and my guns fit through just fine, a fishing rod would be OK too...
the old Z4's ...not so good....

My rods are three part, as I say I get a 1.3m long wading staff in as well.

But if you have a coupe, then never mind :)

How many more reasons does one need to own a roadster instead of a coupe?? Fitting a fishing rod was top on my list for selecting that version...

If you dont have an autochanger fitted, you could potentially "make" a pass-through system, simly by cutting some of the carpet on the inside of the boot and reattaching with velcro. This would likely give a pass-through system large enough for Rods and or possible a single set of skis....

You should be able to get in a 2 part Beach Caster....in theory.

There's your answer shoot the fish!!! :guns: :) Thank heavens you don't need to cart a roach pole around :)
Chainsaw and axe go in fine but neither that useful for fishing. Perhaps it's time to take up a sport :scratchhead:
