Will Main Dealers make up plates...

Simple question... I have a private plate that i will put on my newly acquired Z4.... the car currently has some Sytner plates where the car was purchased from new... any one got any experience of getting a dealer to make up plates if you send him photocopies of all the relevant documentation... I just like the look of the Sytner Plates and the car has Sytner tax disc holder and key fobs .... and i've always liked a car to have a matched set of dealer bits and pieces...

I'll call them on Monday but its after hours now....

IMO that really matters most when selling the car on, and I guess you wouldn't be selling it on ever with your private plate?

If you want completely plain plates, this is the best/cheapest place I could find: £7.45 a pair posted (with GB or non-GB logo, and very discreet postocode and legal stuff). I've just bought a set aftyer acquiring another private place, this one for the van..

I just walked up to the parts counter, showed them my V750 and driving licence and they made me the plates. They didn't seem to care if they supplied the car or not, or if I even owned a BMW.

An anecdote, not directly about BMW dealer, but a few years back, a friend with an A.U.D.I, bought from a car supermarket, got new plates from a dealership, with no issues, when having all relevant documentation.
