Will INPA work on a 64 bit VISTA laptop ?

Looking into getting an INPA setup and dug up an old Lenovo 530 Laptop. It works fine but its operating system is 64 bit Vista.

Did some searching on the Net and saw info on using a 32 bit Vista system, but nothing for a 64 bit.

Can this laptop be used? Does anyone here use that setup?

It needs a battery and no sense spending $20 for a battery if I can't use it for INPA.

Seems you can, best plug it in on mains and install Inpa and try it out before you spend on a new battery.

Thanks all.
Makes sense to just try it out and get the battery if it works. I did read that when actually using it on the car that it should be used with battery power though.

My setup is on an old laptop running Windows 7, my laptop battery is past its best and dosn't last long, usually use it plugged into the mains, have also used it with a 12v to 240v transformer that plugs into the car or takes power from the battery posts under the bonnet. Not had any issues apart from the initial set up using Bcables supplied software which was supposed to be an easy installation, had to tweek a few settings to get it working correctly if I recall.
