Never had one yet, but one of the Sales guys I worked had got quite a few in the past. His technique was to keep writing to them contesting their decision. His theory was that it costs them a huge amount to continually investigate & keep the process open. be firm & polite was his motto, but never leave any letter they send unanswered. Each time find something they haven't properly addressed, then write back telling them the matters raised in their last communication failed to address your point... he said after about the 8th - 10th letter most give up.... depends how mucgh time you've got on yr hands, but then he was a bit of a difficult git.

Pay up and move on - life's too short.
You look to be ilegally parked and wouldn't have been ticketed unless the warden considered yuo were

I got a similar parking ticket once from in milton keynes... i wasnt on the line, but from the angle of the camera it looked lie i was.

I wrote to them (as it was my first and only parking ticket i ever had) and they reversed it.

Id do as jembo suggests, worse case scenario it'll cost a few stamps on top of whatever the fine is.

Either you were parked on the line and correctly ticketed, or you were not and this photograph is misleading due to a parallax error (I can see only the single thumbnail in your first post). Whichever it is, they have failed to produce categorical evidence of your guilt.

I would contest the fine on these grounds, and ask for a clear photograph from behind the car or other appropriate line of sight in which they can unequivocally demonstrate the position of the rear wheel with respect to the line.

It might be worth checking the highway code for regulations / guidelines about parking in bus stops - a sign may not be necessary if there are clear regulations set out therein.

Similarly, whilst I suspect that the regulations refer to the position of the vehicle wheel, I would acertain whether the rear bumper oversailing the bus stop is sufficient to be in breach of the parking restrictions.

I usually have my parking tickets reversed, but I do take a perverse pleasure in hounding the poor bureaucrats until they give up...

Always thought you were not allowed to overhang, had nothing to do with wheels, there must be supporting signage though otherwise the road markings are unenforceable!!

So what is the rule on overhang? And I don't mean my belly!! If the wheels are within the lines but the front overhangs for example, can they ticket you?

I can't believe they had the cheek to put that advert on the top of the page just because you drive a Z4 :o :o

btw, pay up :D
