I have decided to buy a bmw z4m coupe for 2014.
Any colour but black or white. (my current 2008 Jag XKRS is black, so fancy a change).

essential to have.......
Low mileage, less than 35,000 miles (?)
Sat nav.
Looking at posts the aeroskirts really enhance the look of the car, but I guess they are easy to fit and colour match if a car doesn't currently have them.
Should I be looking for a car under BMW warranty? I ask because you can renew Jaguar warranty each year for up to 10 years if renewed annually, and its just a great piece of mind for breakdown assistance, and repairs. I presume BMW ran the same type scheme. But I guess you can't renew once if a previous owner allowed to lapse. Or does it matter anyway?
Were there any differences between the earlier 2006 models and the later 2008 ones?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You'll get a range of different answers to your questions, as there's no right or wrong answer. Depends on personal preference.

Mileage wise, you could spend ages trying to find a sub 35k model, and miss out on loads of fun with a slightly higher mileage model.

Warranty - I kept my warranty going, but as the car gets older the warranty covers less and less. Can you afford not to have a warranty? Do you need complete peace of mind?

The Aero skirts look great. And can be retrofitted.

Edit - few differences between 06 and 08 models. 07 onwards had Aux stereo input as standard and moved from Carver Pro Hifi to Logic 7.
