Will a Z4 coupe worth a long term investment?

Why not a Z4 roadster? Picked my 3.0 e85 up for £3900 at 100k miles. Highly doubt it will reduce in value further and has been a dream to drive around so far

I think some will ..

I think that it will follow a similar route to the Z3 where the M is worth a fortune, the 3.0 and slightly less so the 2.8 are desirable and holding if not increasing in value and well specced 2.2 sports stable

Whilst nobody wants the basic bottom of the range ones

So yes I think the Si will do ok and the pre LCI 3.0 cars as long as history/spec is good and mileage low

I hope you are right! But I probably should upgrade to an M, just in case.

Well there’s someone with £12k in their pocket looking for a 3.0si Coupe... now’s your chance bro!!! Especially now that it’s no secret vert //M’s on the continent are going for crazy money... even more than UK Coupes with much less miles

Hi all
I’ve always wanted a z4m coupe..
I’ve decided to buy a z4 3.0 si coupe sports.
I’m paying £12k for one from bmw fsh high spec 60k miles.

I’m wondering you think they will hold they value or even go up in price?

Why pay £12,000 for a Coupe with 60,000 miles on it when you can have my old car (fully loaded) with under 40,000 miles for the same money.

Out of all Z4 models, the only one I see as an investment is a low mileage Z4M Coupe.

All other models will depreciate, but will probably depreciate at a slower rate then most of the other cars in its class (Audi TT, Porsche Boxster, Honda S2000, Merc SLK etc)

S2000? Have you seen there are a few going for more than z4m money? I've seen some going for 17k I kid you not. This is one car that is only going to soar in value.

I bought a Z4 3.0si coupe a couple months back with the same thoughts in mind. However, I know deep down that the primary reason I've bought it was to enjoy it (albeit on weekends). I managed to find a really well-priced, low-mileage example - though the options list was fairly sparse - and I think that looking after it well, putting modest mileage of 2-3k per year on it, I'll be able to sell in a few years for roughly what it cost me. Unless the arse falls out of the market and it's worth next to nothing...

Inflation’s on the rise, money in the Bank will only deteriorate so the next best thing is appreciable Assets.

With new car prices going into crazy sums after the Brexit vote & continuing to go North, desirable cars in the second hand market will only benefit.
