Will 4 x Z4 wheels with tyres fitted fit the boot of original Z4 roadster? 225mm tyre width probably.

Looking at changing my 16 inch wheels for a set of 17 or 18 inch wheels with tyres fitted. I'm looking to buy privately I need them to fit in the boot. Anyone tried this?

How many can you fit in the boot if they don't all fit?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply

Really only 2.... :headbang:

Do think I could get two in passenger area? Maybe one in the floor and one on top of it perhaps part on the passenger seat? I'd try but I haven't got a spare or even a trolley jack here, my tools are 100 miles away.

Why don't you use a courier?
I've used SHIPLEY a number of times.
This is an internet site where you post your item and courier companies bid to transport it. I've just had four 4x4 wheels and tyres shipped from Wolverhampton to Somerset for £41.

If the tyres were 225mm diameter then maybe  Otherwise I'd go with the Shiply option too.

I managed to get 2 also.... one rear in the boot (255 profile) - with the roof shelf up and in the passenger seat.

Maybe without tyres and boot tied down you could get all 4.

This should be in the 'light side - 4 rims and tyres in a Zed...lol

Forget it an use a courier as suggested
Paisley freight will move 4x18" inc. tyres for £32 Used them about 10 times for large car items.

That wasn't a serious question was it?

I managed to get 3 complete 16" wheels in the roadster, but not 4.
One fits easily in the trunk, and two on the passenger seat (side by side).

I thought this was funny just from the title, I could understand it if you didn't yet have a Z4 to see how big the boot is. Having just swapped 2 rear 18" tyres over I got one in the boot and one in the passenger seat, you wouldn't get another in the boot without having the lid open and strapped down.

Thanks for the answers. It was serious!

I'm a Z4 new owner (2003 2.5L)and I've not taken a wheel off yet as my car lives in a underground car park in London... so not much opportunity to tinker here. When I was younger I had access to a driveway and garage to work on my car, which seems like a luxury these days.

I was hoping to include some business mileage with wheel shopping you see, but may have to think again. I fancy a set of the either these 17" 103's below, which seem readily available as they were standard on 3.0L

Although I also like the look of the 18" 202's below but these seem to be curved on many Z4's I've seen and the ride may betoo harsh for everyday driving?
