Thanks for the heads up micz4, i was not aware of his cancer condition. Been a fan of Wilko ever since i first saw Dr Feelgood all those years ago, saw Dr Feelgood in their original line up twice, and when he joined Ian Dury & the Blockheads, just brilliant style of playing the guitar, well i hope he can make those last few gigs he`s promised for later this year, if does then i`ll be there right down on the front row.

So much tragedy in that band;Lee Brilleaux died at 41 from cancer,Wilko's wife died about 8 years ago and now him

The only song i ever heard of Dr Feelgoods is Milk and Alcohol, love the Roxette track so i will be checking out their back catalogue.

Great guitar style he will be missed :(

Milk & Alcohol was recorded after Wilko had left the band;Stupidity, their 1976 live album, showcases the original band at their best imho.

Never heard of him till I listened to an interview wirh him last night on R4's Front Row.
Seems like a great guy, might go and see him if I can on his last tour :(

I found a sort of parody masterclass by the man himself from 2012

Proabaly won't mean much to some of the younger guys, but if you can remember Dr Feelgood from the 70's, you will be sad to know that their original "legendary" guitarist, Wilko Johnson, is dying of cancer, but he's going out to do a farewell tour while he still can, beginning at London's Koko on March 6.
