Sound generator mod first, exhaust mods later!

There's plenty of videos on the YouTube with different exhausts etc.

Reading up on it, I didn't think this one had the sound generator?

The 2.5's didnt have the sound generator but its an easy and cheap mod to do. You just need to change the rubber boot air intake pipe for a 3.0 one which has an additional 'T' off and add the bit that plugs into the bulkhead

Well that sounds doable then.
So is there a hole in the bulkhead already? Anything to remove from that?
Think I need to have a rummage round at the weekend. Too bloody dark by the time I get home after work!

Yes there's a large grommet that just pops out. It's probably where the steering column would go through the bulkhead if it were a left hand drive car.

 Looking for the bits now

Thought I'd update this and wrap it up.
Had lots of advice on the backbox delete, mostly around the need to try it first if possible as it's not for everyone.
So, I listened to the other suggestions and accumulated all the sound generator bits, as our car didn't have one.
Really wanted to fit it without Vall knowing, but how? Then the car helped me by developing a leak around the expansion tank.
Getting that out involved removing the filter housing, MAF etc, so I was able to sneak in the sound generator at the same time without it being spotted. I removed the foam nearest the bulkhead.
Then I handed the keys back and waited.
First drive she came back looking a tad puzzled. What have you done to the exhaust? Nothing. Yes you have, it sounds lovely when I put my foot down now.
I pleaded ignorance for a week or so, then owned up. Employing a kind of reverse man maths, I simply said I'd removed the foam. Not a lie, and saves all sorts of questions about cost of new parts etc.
Anyway, the long and short of it is, happy wife and no need to chop the exhaust about.
Thanks to everyone who directed me down that path.
