WIFE KERBED WHEEL!!!!

I caught a brick in the road I didn't see until the last thing and "curbed" my OS front! Took it to the dealers and they did a smart repair on it! Fantastic job too! You can' see where it was! I think it was around £50-£60 so not too bad for your wife to pay for! :P

you may recall my post from last year, the missus kerbed mine after 4 weeks, finally sorted after a £3k insurance claim ! .....comprising of ......2 x O/S wheels, 2 x tyres, O/S front suspension upper & lower arm, replacement shock & bearing / hub assembly and the icing on the cake........... a new steering rack & steering box! :headbang:

Amazed the airbag didn't go off !

Anyway she's all fixed now,......can't say the same about the wife !

That sounds bad, makes mine trivial!!!!

Mine kerbed her A6 a couple of weeks ago. Days later I was to drive it and only then did she 'confess' :-/

I pointed out it's not just about the wheel looking cr@p after being kerbed, but that a badly damaged tyre is both dangerous and more costly to repair.

Until the next time...

Did she "kerb" it straight into a brick wall???

Tapatalking...

My wife knows how careful I am with my cars and she was out in my coupe, pulling up outside our house she was being extra careful to not scuff the wheels.

Obv she was concentrating so hard on not contacting the curb she didnt see the lamp post she drove into :headbang:

She stopped with a scuff down the front bumper and the wheel resting agains the lampost and to get away from it decided to apply full lock, this basically pushed the car sideways using the face of the wheel agains the post.

Happy... I could of cried

Somewhat off-topic, but is it potentially harmful to temporarily park my Zed half on / half off a curb? We're renting a skip soon so will need to park on the road for a day or two.
