Well, I know that loose clothing is preferable so as when the man is lifting the ladies legs high there is no restrictions. Comfortable shoes also help as all that energetic shimmy-ing, shim shamming and boogie on down-ing can be hard on the feet.
Now if you mean the other form of swinging I am quite expert in this. I used to do loads of it but not so much nowadays.....
I do know you should concrete the legs into the ground preferably to stop it from moving or possibly tipping over.
Also, make sure there's plenty of space around to prevent accidents.
Be careful if doing twisties as the rope/chain can give a bad pinch if you catch your fingers in it.
Swing your legs back and forth to go higher but don't try and go over the bar as this is very dangerous.

I mean you could just take her along and see what happens although be prepared in case she quicksteps out.
The only problem with swinging is if one of the partners gets jealous of seeing the other with another partner, i ave no problem in seeing her on the floor with another guy showing her his best moves, but im not sure she would react well to seeing me in the same situation....

Dancing gags aside, I think you answered your question at least partly - just getting her dressed appropriately and springing it on her could go badly wrong without a chat first. Just an opinion, as stated above I have no experience. I think if I even suggested it to my wife she'd divorce me :lol:
