Wierd Electrical Problems After Roof Fire

Guys,

I'm new here, have an 04 2,5SE Roadster, which unfortunatley had a small roof fire to the passenger side, only damage was roof/wiring and seats.

Have sourced new interior and a roof (not yet fitted), the car was fine all electrics worked great. But now I have lots of electrical issues, no lighs on dash (indicator) no clicking of indicator when using left or right (indicators work fine though), no main beam light on dash etc etc

Has anyone ever came across this sort of problem, could it be entirely linked to the roof fire?

Thanks
Mark

Firstly welcome to the Forum and sorry to hear of you problems. Sounds like a short circuit during the fire has effected the on board computer. This is beyond me and perhaps other may have a solution but sounds like a trip to the dealer - sorry I can't be more helpful.

Sounds like a whole can of worms to me, electrical issues are a pain in the arse!

How did you have a roof fire?

What caused the fire - where did it start. If it was from the seat loom then I'd start there to see if that's all OK.

Did it spread under the dash as there are several modules on the passenger side and the faults you mention all seem to be there.

You indicate the new roofs not on, so there could be faults in the damaged one. Check again when the new roof is on.

Failing that I'm afraid this is one for a main agent of Indy with the equipment to test each and read error codes and identify the source.
