Width of sat nav dash recess?

As my amp is goosed right now I'm looking for a decent bluetooth speaker to use in the interim while sourcing a replacement.

The plan is to dump it in the recess in the dash for the satnav screen. I'm not located where the zed is right now and I've spotted a nice Black Friday deal, hence does anyone know the exact width of the recess or is willing to nip out to their p&j and measure it for me??

5 inches deep.
So 8 inches across, from the plastic beside the open / close and tilt buttons, and 5 inches from front to back, from dash face to windscreen.

There is no such thing as a decent bluetooth speaker.
a) You will be pointlessly and unnecessarily radiating yourself in your own vehicle
b) Bluetooth speakers all use compression and are lossy and degrade your audio signal. If you want crappy audio in your car, by all means proceed.
 
Get a WiFi obd dongle, connect a Sonos to it and job's a good'un :thumbsup:
