widest front on E85 (non M)

Hi all,

i am in the process of refurbing some 18" ACT SX split rims and wondering if 18x9 is do-able on the front of my E85 (lowered on Ebiach), if so can anyone advise on the best offset to aim for and tyre choice.. could also go 18x9.5 on the front but would think that would be too wide

any info would be much appreciated

I had 9x19 ET44 with minor rubbing with H&R (5mm more than Eibach). But that was with 235/35-19 tires. With 225 it would have been fine without rubbing.

I now use 8,5x19 ET34 with 225/35-19 without any issues. These extends 4mm more than my old 9x19.

thanks are the coupes the same as e85 roadster suspension wise?

Hi Jim im running 8.5 x 19" et 35 with 235/35 tyres I get a little bit of rubbing on full lock, mines not lowered though.

Ive currently got 19 inch 8.5j all round beyern mesh alloys on and it rubs on full lock reversing and occasionaly going over heavy bumps it might touch mines quite low on springs though looks much lower than eibach. Its all about the offset really and tyre size as my alloys that came with the car were 19" csl reps i think ET38 on 8.5J front there wasnt any rubbing. Now ive fitted the beyerns they rub on full lock ET42 8.5J so im guessing that few extra mm does make a difference. Both are fitted with 225/35/19 tyres

this guy runs 9.5j all round its really not the width but the offset you need to worry about.

I've got 8.5j ET33 on the front with 235 tyres, lowered on Eibach and it rubs a little. It didn't rub with a 225 tyre.
