Good afternoon guys and girls im after some info id like to know what the maximum size tires i can run on a z4 coupe with a set of 18" wheels and a set of 19's? the car isnt lowered yet but if and when i do it will only be minimal.

The wheels will be staggered so the sizes will be different from front to back, ive heard with a 19" wheel you can go for 235/35/19 on the front and 295/35/19 on the rear with out scrubbing but was wondering how true this was and what everyone else is using
 
295/35/19 rears :o

The 35 profile tire wall will be so high it will look like a tractor.

Its dependent on the wheels.. on a 10" wide rear rim you could get a 275/30/19 tyre on.
 
I think you'd be lucky to get even 275 rears on and guarantee NO rubbing.

All of the ones I've been in with 275 rears - that have claimed to have had 'absolutely no rubbing' - have had a little rub here & there and the owners just say that the small amount doesn't count :headbang:

My 265/40r18s on the Z4MC only rub under extreme cornering - which means it happens about 6 times a year.
 
Had 265/30/19 on a 10'' wide rim and the car is lowered. It rubbed.

Best bet would be to get your arches rolled.
 
Mine were just catching the plastic arch liners at 80mph and when pushing on down rural roads.

Think mine are et 38 rears, so thats 14.5mm that my tyres sat further out than yours. Shame really, the 265's looked fantastic from behind.
 
I have 10x19 ET41 with 265/30. No rubbing at all.

Tried my E91 wheels 9,5x19 ET35 with 275/30. A tiny rub on outer on one side.

Bloody hell your rims are sticking out beyond your rubber mate! Kerb-o-rama!!

Looks like your tyres are too narrow and are stretched across the rims. :o
 
Pretty normal these days. Not that much stretched, but I dont like the look either. So new wheels are on next year. Going for lightweight and 18".
Now Ive had these wheels on for 3 seasons. No kerb rasch what so ever. I drive with normal sense and take care of my car :P
 
19s on mine. 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rears on 10s.

No rubbing and no problems at all.

my fault they were 265 on the rears i must of been drunk when reading it

" The rear tyres are 265 30 19, the fronts are 235 35 19" rear wheels 10" and 9" on the front

so the search for wide but with out scrub (a little scrub is ok on extreme bumps/corning) continues
