Got a call this morning advising recall on Wi-Fi.....Hopefully this will sort Apple Car Play

Don't have it...nor Apple Car Play. Only got basic Bluetooth to phone. They said it is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi recall so hopefully it will give me car play.

They said the update will be in Q2 when I collected.

I was told OTA updates due on 19/5/22 to enable car play when I picked up my new G20 330e last week.

Update - Recall was to enable Wi-Fi and enhanced Bluetooth. Car Play is available OTA over the next 12 days from tomorrow, different models rolled out.

That’s great news. Now the update is done you will get OTA updates.
Soon will be a major software update coming too.

You were correct…if you have Wi-Fi already you might just get the OTA update. I never had any settings relating to Wi-Fi

All good Blaster, they even checked the car over and sent me a video!
I have not noticed a download yet but there seems to be Car Play option this morning, first time I have used the car since, not tried it yet to connect yet.

Update - All sorted. Returned from Holiday last night and thought I would go and investigate today. Went to My BMW app and selected Car Play, it connected and worked.

I know people have had bad experiences over the past 6-12 months but I really cant fault BMW and my dealer. It was painful at first, but when I eventually got told BMW are not accepting any orders until January and I would get a delivery/build date then, everything they have said has been spot on. I got my car when they said and the deletions have only been wireless charging, update in Q2 for Car Play...spot on!

Gtechniq products purchased last week...time for a clean at the weekend and some driving to be done

Good to hear all done. I wonder if they are doing this as part of the build now? Or if it's up to the dealer to sort? Not that any Z4s appear to be delivered at the moment.
