I thought the nic regs dictate that the hard wired smoke detectors have rechargeable batteries that are constantly trickle charged, should the power be cut? Could be wrong but I expect there's some bright spark (ha ha) out there who knows.ronk said:The units are hard wired into the alarm system but also have backup batteries .
Im putting a new battery in today but it always seems to give the low battery warning at two in the morning. At that time I knew I didn't have a spare pp3 in my store.
