I wouldn't want mine looking like that, but it's definitely good looking as a whole. I can appreciate it, even the rims.
But that's a matter of opinion as you said it ;-)

whats all this "stance" and "rat" rubbish. i couldn't believe when i saw the original video i posted, but then the pics you guys have posted are just ridiculous. i am disappointed in the human race for coming up with such rubbish!

I don't get the rat thing at all... And wheels sticking out at 35 degrees just look juvenile. However 'stance' done right can look very good... It is very marmite though, and can often simply come down to the chosen style of wheels.
