Why Z4-forum is so much better than others

After many years on different car forum's i already knew that this is the best place on the web for info,chat & general friendly banter between like minded individuals .
Proof came earlier when i checked in on a similar BMW forum & found the first 12 posts were all for info about faults :( no interaction or chitchat :cry:
Yes we all post up problem's now & again but in the main its a good mix of faults,solution,s & helpful info about anything & everything .

Totally agree. Not been here long myself but found it not only useful but an enjoyable forum to be on. Long may it continue...
 
I love the banter, especially coupe v roadster :).

Plus now I have tapatalk it's great toilet reading :)

I think its because in the main, these cars arent particularily problematic. There are the usual issues, jokes, banter, questions etc; all reformatted by newbies or those too lazy to search (incl me sometimes).

My theory is also around the type of person that buys a Zed. Its not as defined as, say an M3. Our cars seem to be owned by a huge cross section of ages, all with varying views on life but all essentially social and into one thing that brings us all together.

A bit like a pub actually :thumbsup:

Just had to voice my thoughts when other forum,s seem 99% full of problem,s & folks only posting for info :x
not the case here & even though i,m currently Zless its still a great place to be :thumbsup:
 
This is the only forum that I've been on so can't compare really, but from my first post everyone was friendly and helpful, as most of you know I'm not technical at all, most of my posts are " on the light side" :D that's my daily life tbh :D

Assh*les don't tend to stick around either, I've noticed a few newbies try to wind people up and they get ignored and soon give it up as a bad job, a great mix of members from all different backgrounds make this a great place to be, as Inkey$ said its like being in a pub, I'll raise a glass to that :thumbsup: :cheers:
 
I haven't really checked other Z forums,apart from links from this forum.From what i've seen,they are too formal.
They just reply straight serious answers,which is ok if someone just want's to know something.

When I had my X-type Jag,I joined a Jag forum to sort my problems.It helped me a lot to sort out a few things.

But it was boring "pipe and slippers" chat,it wouldn't be the first thing you logged on to when you turned on your pc! :lol:

You don't need to have a problem with your car to log onto Z4-forum,the chat and banter is the best i've experienced from any car forum.

It proves how good this forum is,when owners have sold their Z's for another make of car and still post on the forum. :thumbsup:
 
as car specific forums go, it's one of the better ones I've been on... and I've been on a few...

you have your usual very rose tinted people that think the zed is the best in the world, and the usual lack of knowledge of other cars.... but that is to be expected and it's still way short of some places... ;)

banter is pretty good, as a newbie, I can tell who has been about, and where the 'mates' are... good to see and only 1 or 2 arrogant rude people that have their heads up their own arse... so it's all good.

as someone that is pretty into detailing too, it's also good to see more people on here looking at it, trying it and caring a bit more about their P&J...

I love this place - and meeting the people behind the avatars in the flesh every once in a while really brings it to life.

I am much better looking. And coloured in.

You (Woots) do however bear a passing resemblance to a big chopper - weird that :? :P
