Regarding the colour Neil has done similar with his but the previous owner had the paint done professionally. I was very sceptical but in the flesh looks stunning! His is obv very different and a much better example

Lights are an obvious upgrade if you have the orange hockey stick style pre facelift ones, I wouldn't say it detracts from the value for a few its a pain to do so is an attractive option although won't add value same with the wheels. The problem with modding is its all personal and the original car is always more valuable than a modded car, which is why modding with OEM parts keeps the car attractive
If you do mod keep the original parts and swap them and selling them separately will give a larger target audience.
