Why is the 3.0si so hard to find, I really want one!

Mines going up for sale tonight!

New job means lots of mileage so I'm selling up for a diesel A3 DSG and a Yamaha R6 for the weekends....

If it was a Roadster I would be on it but alas it isn't.

I have just been through the same, 2.5 si easy, 3.0 si hard, I nearly bought a 2.5 then this came along :D , me and the misses have spent nearly a week in it, hence its a bit dirty, just cleaned and polished it today :)

Perfect spec - formerly SynapticFire's car off here, non run flat tyres already fitted too

I don't want anything over 60k miles and that has more than that so not for me.

I know you have to draw a line, but if it meats your spec, would you now look at it. Only 5k over you limit.

No I have a limit of 60k which is higher than I had planned but I now realise these engines can do some miles, and that is also from a dealer and I would rather buy from a forum member I do struggle with dealers.

get a coupe, much better looking :)
+1

I love the coupe but it has to be a soft top as there is nothing more thrilling than flying across the north York moors on a lovely day with the top down.
I did enjoy the enhanced noise from the Engine/Exhaust when the top was down its does add to the experience. :)

Hi,

Is the real world performance that much better for the 3.0Si to discount looking at a 2.5Si if the price spec and mileage are good?, I realise the OP has his mind set on a 3.0Si, and the extra 40 odd BHP is nice :) , but would he be disapointed y the 2.5Si?.

Hi Stu

Good point it is the 3.0si I have decided to go for but it would be great to hear from anyone who has had both but at this moment the 3.0si is the one I want.
