Why don't Z4 drivers wave at each other?!

Most of the z4s I come across were 2.0 roadsters driven by women...I'd feel a right tool waging.

I did get a thumbs up from a forum member as I was passing through Birmingham

Yeah I fit that bill! I'd still wave though. I'm in the north west in a 2006 Black Sapphire E85 2.0 SE. Comfort pack, bluetooth star spoke alloys. As soon as I work it out I'll post a pic.

Having some issues with a false reading on the passenger seat alarm at the momemt and the alarm goes off when she gets too hot but I reckon that's the bonnet sensor. Glad to be in the club though! Will be looking for advice on exhaust systems and headlights so hope to share in your knowledge and experience!

And yes, I do spend time doing my hair in the car because driving like I do with the top down tends to leave the old barnet a little dishevelled! Gotta make the perves smile at the traffic lights right?!

As a E89 owner I have to agree the response from E 89 drivers is not the best. Most just drive bye without acknowledgement OK so I might be on the upper end of the age scale. But where is the sense of camaraderie it costs nothing to be polite.

I find it very hit n miss with Zed owners.

I always wave or flash any Zed I see but have only had a couple of responses. I've had more looks from people with that "who you flashing at" face.

I'll always flash, wave or toot and post on here my spotted, just incase it's one of you lovely lot. :D

I used to be part of the MR2 Turbo gang and they ALL acknowledged in one way or another.

I distinctly remember that when my dad had his subarus, early 2000's that virtually all other subaru drivers would wave to eachother, irrespective of whether or not it was a wrx sti or a wagon... they all waved :(

The R32 seems to get waves from quite a few jap cars but not the Subaru boys. It's like a in written rule they don't acknowledge each other

it's one of those typical fan-boy intense rivalry's.. you would never see a mac user congratulating a windows user  :fuelfire:

A blue E89 Sdrive30i pulled next to me at the lights, the driver yelled Nice car! So I said: Yours too! But you should have dropped the top! His wife smiled afterwards :-P
But to OP, E85 drivers do tend to wave, as well as lightweight convertible drivers. I noticed that in the Defender of my brother as well, Defender drivers and discoveries with trophy rack on the roof wave.

today i got an acknowledgement from a Z3 driver, we were both driving with our roofs down

Going back many a year to my motorbike days, and even now driving around today it's the same. The bikers do acknowledge one another, more of a courtesy for being out on the open road and enjoying the ride.
But I do agree with other forum members there is little or no responce form other Zd drivers  .most likely all the drives I acknowledge are not forum members and don't read the threads?

Maybe we need some form of identification on the front of the car, rather than the stubby on the back...

we have, the front window sticker

To be honest I've never seen a Zd with a screen sticker on it. Not to say they are out there, but locally I've not seen one
