In order to try to mitigate the wear on my roof when folded, I have stuck some black electrical insulating tape onto the rubber on either side where contact is made. I don't know whether it's doing any good but it provides a smoother surface than the rubber trim and is all but invisible.
Apparently the whole roof assembly is adjustable via a couple of bolts which are accessible either side when the hood is down, the limiting factor being the front catch over the windscreen. I remember there being a post about it, it's a half hour job apparently and an independent specialist seemed to know what to do. However, I live in Scotland and I can't find a specialist who knows what I'm talking about.
