Why does the Dealer never keep in contact

new car is estimated for delivery next saturday 28th but not had any contact from the dealer since I paid the deposit.
Is this normal
Do they wait until they take delivery of the car before they contact you.
Thinking I may give them a call monday but don't want to be too pushy

Its your baby, give them a call for an update.

x2 - they have thousands of your hard-earned, and you don't have anything to show for it. TBH I am surprised they have not contacted you at all, but don't feel you're being pushy asking them where your P&J is !

Most importantly it's about you spending a large amount of money.. You're posting on here when you should be asking them. They're serving you not the other way around.

Yeah, best to get in this mindset now, because there will always be niggles to sort after delivery

I will call them monday it would be nice to know if the car will be available for collection on the 28th.
What are bmw usually like with the estimated delivery date.
The last zed i bought was already built in a compound so only took 2 weeks from order to delivery.
I ordered on the 28th feb and was told 6-8 weeks and on the order form it states delivery 28th april

Let us know how you get on mate :)

I hope yours will be ready but I ordered mine on 15th Feb with estimated delivery date of 31st March. Finally picking it up 25th April.

i ordered mine a couple of weeks after yours and its due in 2 weeks from now..... so its pretty much in line with your delivery timeline

I think its the difference between a good or poor dealership or salesman.

A good one should keep you updated through every stage, from build day, when completed and released for shipment, to when it arrives in the country and finally at the dealer. Mine kept me updated by e-mail and phone calls and couldn't fault the salesman. Like others have said your spending alot of money so it should be like this.

Definitely call your dealer

Don't feel bad about contacting them for an update....they will be able to check their system and tell you whats happening, i.e. its been built, or its on the boat, or its at the dock waiting to be transported to the dealer.

They will be able to tell you the latest expected delivery date, but that is subject to change - they can't guarantee that until the car is on a transporter to the dealer, but they should be able to give you a good idea.

Some dealers seem much better than others at keeping you informed....mine was very good, but I must admit I did most of the phoning, but he never got peed off with me (well, he never let it show!!!).

when mine arrived at shore the dealer called to let me know but that it could take upto 2 weeks to get to the dealer by transporter, 2 days later it had turned up, so sometimes the dealer can be caught out :)
