Why do you reckon this hasn't sold yet?

The following sounds odd to me:

- Advertised as 40k miles in header, but supposedly 38k on the counter. Why have two different values.
- Rare carbon fibre dash, well - that is standard in the M.
- Other options are described by a non "knowing" owner.
- No BMW SH - specialist is a real put off statement for such a car.

Still seems fairly cheap for a car with Nav

I'm not sure flat red is everyone's fave colour, plust the pics are a bit poor. Not sure I'd advertise the fact the car wants super-unleaded with the price of fuel at the mo either :(

It is slow out there for any big-engined cars...

Why don't things sell:

1. Price
2. Market demand

(yes there are other factors....)

The two go together no markey demand and too high a price and no sale. Reduce the price and increase potential for market demand.

Advert isn't great, plus most buyers these days are keyed into the whole warranty thing. Obviously with this one that's a total non-starter due to the servicing being done independently

It's slightly misleading: "up to last serivce @ 36,243 by BMW specialist" in my view that means the last service was done by an indy.

On a car like this indi servicing would put a lot of people off, even where this is a market, no doubt. Personally, I'd be quite happy with a decent indi over some of the cowboy franchised dealers. However, I'd then be in the same position come resale time.

Pics are poor, dare I say it, but in a couple it almost looks pink!

I think it's just that the seller isn't a car nut, just has a nice weekend toy. There's nothing that'd put me off about this car,BUT he'd get more interest if the photo's had been done with a proper camera not a phone, and the ad had been written by a car buff.I'm in the car trade and the market is crap at the moment, hence not sold yet.

I think its a tad over-priced, especially in this market.....plus South Wales is traditionally one of the cheapest places in the UK to buy a used car, which should depress the price even further.
