Why did Alpina not make a coupe?

Always intrigued me as to why Alpina did not conduct their magic on the coupe as well as the roadster?

I appreciate that the roadster is the far better choice... :fuelfire:

Neatly coincided with the introduction of the ///M...
...it's purely coincidental that BMW stopped Alpina producing the RS just before they released the ///M...

I once saw a metallic green e86 wearing alpina alloys. It did look fab. Shame they never did one. Good project for someone.

As said there was an emission compliant ///M to compete with. So they probably would not have sold many, even if given the engine. Would have made them Classics now of course.

Sounds like marketing reasons to me - de-conflicting //M coupe sales

Would be nice to see a coupe with the plastic bits on though :fuelfire:

Forum member Kis bought my Alpina Front Spoiler for his Coupe project, so me may see something similar soon

Sadly not so! I'm running a roadster!
I do love the look of the Alpina on a coupe tho!

Tempted to run my Aplina front end on my coupe now just to see how it would look!
