Why code a new battery

It often comes up as a question as to whether you need to code a new battery following replacement, well this little video explains it perfectly.....

When registered my new battery with Foxwell reader, it only asked if i had changed the amp rating (no). After that i'm not sure it did anything else.
 
Just done mine - options with the autel 808 were quite a few.

Started with same type & capacity / same type different capacity / different type.

Then wanted to know if it was oem fit (code needed from the battery label if it was).

Other than that nice & easy.

Interestingly, it keeps a record of the battery changes with the mileage when it changed.

I remember now, yes same questions with Foxwell.
