Why are there so many that don't go topless?

Great pic ! Mine was taken at the cafe on top off Hartside pass right on the Cumbria/Northumberland border

it's their car, therefore their choice...

why that would annoy anyone is beyond me...

I so agree with this statement! Live your own lives and stop getting annoyed at decisions that others make that have no impact what-so-ever on you!!

If I take my Roadster out with the roof up I feel it's a wasted opportunity. :headbang:
I only have it to drive top down, why else buy a convertible.
If its raining I take the boring estate car.
Sorry coupe owners I don't see the point.

Don't worry about the look bald fellas get in the car - spare a thought for oldies with white hair!

There's no real problem because if you're old you just don't give a #### ! :D

Yep, this

I'm bald, couldn't give a #### what anyone else thinks. Chuck a fag in my car and I'll get out and break your fucking neck though, 'brah'

I find it hilarious that the 26 year old view is that you need to own a roadster before becoming too old or bald... After which I assume life stops, you're almost dead so may as well drive a Vectra in an aggressively resentful manner till the end of your days

All the bald comments have made me laugh. I'm 29 and Pretty much bald it does not stop me putting the top down no mid life crisis here  I love driving with it down.

I don't tend to wear a hat much although that's starting to change. I keep some sun cream in the car after getting burnt a couple of times when I first started shaving my thinking locks of hair  . Hay fever is the only thing that spoils the fun for me the roof goes up when I get it bad.

I never thought I would enjoy having a convertible as much as I do. It's great on a nice sunny day also on a nice night, driving through the lakes and London at night was good fun.

I don't have much hair and get burnt ... you'd think I would have learned ... this is my 5th convertible. Most of those with little hair !

Agreed. It's a sad (but undeniable) fact that, by the time most of us can afford to indulge in toys like the gorgeous Z4, we've passed the point of a full head of hair. I'm 48 and have what can only be described as a baboon's arse on the back of my head. I don't give a s**t driving through town with the top down and the bald patch in full display. Sometimes I wear a hat, sometimes I don't. Whichever mode of head dress I choose, it's the car that turns heads - not my follicle count, and I love the attention.

^^^ this

Though I also carry sun lotion/spray, just because I look like a thug in a baseball cap so people would think I stole it. My hair started receding at about 20 - at 42 I am SO over my lack of it. Takes me 10mins to cut it myself and costs me nothing to maintain - in fact my baldness is helping me afford my Z

Why not go topless..?? Silly question, you upset the mountain Gods and they administer an earthquake in revenge if you do.

I climbed Mount Kinabalu in 2002 and I think it must be the most spectacular place I've been. She must have absolutely epic peaks for anyone to have even noticed she had her top off :D

From what I've seen she has a lovely smile, but her ass is nothing to write home about...

Lucky man, and I bet you didn't get your fella out and waft him around. Bloody silly mare, respect the culture of the country you visit, no matter if you think it's daft or not.

If I'm driving And it's dry I have the roof down ,virtually all the time, I been out at night in the middle of winter ROOF DOWN and loved it , if you wrap up your good to go onviously it's better when it's warm and sunny , but when it's freezing cold ,dry ,crisp ,sunny or dead of night I still love it ,for some reason it feels very old school , and reminds me of classic open top motoring from many years ago , ok it's not Sir Tim Birkins stunning Bentley Blower, but in my eyes it's the next thing I can afford at the moment, :driving: but for some strange reason my wife does not see it like this ,and for the life of me I dint know why ,women are strange creatures , :tumbleweed:

I used to wonder why folk drive around with the top on Until this last holiday in Europe.

We've seen a variety of convertible with the roof on. Porsche, Bmw Mercedes etc the temp was upper 20c, the sun was beating down and even moving we were baking - it was touch and go about putting the roof up !
The compromise was the side windows up and the aircon on full belt with the side vents throttled back.
