why America ISN'T the greatest country in the world

the problem with the other not so great countries mentioned is that they are mostly third world countries so not exactly high on everyones list of places to live. also they dont claim to be the greatest or have illusions of grandeur

the only country where ive found a nice balance of integrated cultures without the locals complaining about the immigrants taking away their jobs and community is malaysia. the chinese, indians and malays all get along for the most part and even celebrate each others religious events and festivals in peace.
 
Canada sounds pretty good to me, rather cold, but everything I read about it is pretty much aligned with what I like.

Hmm, I guess the "nice balance" isn't quite balanced, well unless you're Muslim?

Is there a country that does not allow any form of religion , has decent roads , no taxes & enjoys all the 4 season,s ? That would probably work for me if there was such a place :wink:
As for USA itself ? never been & no desire to do so

:lol: that's the plan for the future, to move out of the US. The move isn't really just to get out of America, it isn't a place I would call unbearable but, I'd just love to spend the rest of my life somewhere else in the world to surround myself with new people,culture,environment ect ect..

Don't get me wrong, america is still a great country but in no means is it what we are told to believe it is.. that's what I was pointing out.

lol hilarious. i dont think only "muslims" have issues with gays, lesbians and transgenders, it is also against christianity too. however, since you think this is a "muslim" only practice, it is tolerated in pakistan which is also a "muslim" country. so if you want to go live there as a gay, lesbian or transexual, im sure your human rights would be about the same as everyone elses there.

personally when i made my comment, i was talking from my own perspective and since i am not gay, lesbian or transexual, the country was perfectly ok to me and i cant say i saw any of those peoples human rights being abused either. but if thats your criteria for your perfect country then thailand may also be suitable for you but then maybe it may infringe on other delicate dispositions you may have, who knows.

as we alluded to earlier there is no perfect country. find the one that is most suitable for your needs, sexuality and practices and go live there when you have the option. but going back to the original point, no other countries make the claim of being the greatest and fall way short of that

You do amuse me with your rants about the British and other countries being negative towards other's, often jumping on the immigration bandwagon. But if one reads your posts from over the years, it just shows you as bigot with a grievance and intolerance to others.

Mask your text with "lol's" and "smiles" but its all too apparent. You are a unwilling to accept views, beliefs, or behaviour that differ from one's own.
 
Singapore always impressed me. There is no national religion you can believe in what you like or not as the case may be. Tax breaks
are given to all religions equally as is a limited amount of money for building churches mosques , synagogues , temples etc etc.
They all get on and there is no stupid in-fighting. I know guy who is a Buddhist and who is married to a Catholic , he goes to both :-)

It's the only country that I have ever visited where most of the people in the street think that their government is doing a good job !

Of course it has its down side being a little bit too much of a police state for me. $500 fine for not flushing a public toilet :-) But ye pays yer money ..........

Personally I would prefer no religion

firsly this rant didnt mention the british until now and when i say british i am really referring to people like yourself of which there seem a lot but really they are just a small amount of people that sit at home and vent their bigotry via a keyboard than actually stepping outside the house to do something about it. secondly, the person who started this thread and is actually living in america had a lot to say about his country. thirdly how about you read some of your bigoted, islamaphobe, and anti immigration posts to get us started.

speaking of bigotry and intolerance thats funny because all i ever see from you in your comments is islamaphobia and intolerance towards anything non british and how your society is being overtaken by immigrants. it makes me laugh at how often all these posts suddenly head in that direction even if the subject wasnt remotely related to that. and guess what it is usually some intolerant bigot like you that brings it right back to the racism and intolerance. this thread is my case in point entirely

as for my being intolerant. yes i have stated many a time, i do not tolerate racists or fools and you always come across as both to me
 
I don't really understand why almost all the public loos in America have such wide gaps on either sides of the door so everyone can see in.

I've only been once, travelled from Ridgewood NJ down to Myrtle Beach and back, via Atlantic City, Richmond, Phillidelphia and Washington, every place I visited and every person I met I really liked, my friend moved to Ridgewood 7 yrs ago, worked in Nottingham on a milling machine, began to sell Sandvic tools in the UK, got offered a position in Ridgewood and is now VP for aerospace, only in America! Gets the thumbs up from me :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: I could keep going :lol:

Also they provide fabulous Rust free Datsun 240Z's :thumbsup: :driving:
