As some of you will know I work at Alexandra Palace and we're hosting the World Darts at the moment so a busy time of the year for us.
I'm working until half an hour after the last match today that should see me out of work by 23.30. Have then got 3 days off returning on the 27,28,29 and 30th. I'm then off until the 2nd.
Used to love having a long break at Xmas but needs must.

Anyone else having to work over the holiday?

Working 26th & 27th, could be worse. Didn't know you were involved in the darts, I have loved the sport for a long time, shame the crowds are so disrespectful nowadays

Yep.....I remember the days when there was silence when the players were at the Oche. Fantastic atmosphere though and copious amounts of alcohol are downed.

We then go into the Snooker almost straight after......different crowd altogether. :)

I work in a school.
Everybody buggered off yesterday at 2.30 and I dont finish until Christmas Eve at 1pm.
Sitting on my own bored out my skull.
Plus side I dont go back until the 6th January.
Downside I have to check the building 3 seperate days over the shut down that I only get paid 6 hours total for

I'm in the motor trade, so working till 3pm Xmas eve, then off for Xmas day and Boxing day, back in then and off New Years Day.

Just had a week off so cant moan too much.

Also if its nice tomorrow I'm taking the Zed and leaving the Leon company car at home. The RPI's should get some attention at work

Own business and supposedly working all the usual business days, but no travel for 2 weeks, clients are all on holiday and winding down. Just racking up the time on the clock for a fat December invoice :)

Finished on the 18th, not back till the 4th :D

Then 5 days work and off to India for a week on business

Merry Christmas one and all

Im off from today until 4th Jan, but always on standby incase if system failures.....and it looks like I might be going in tomorrow morning if an intermittent problem doesnt settle down ! (Severn Crossing, Security and Tolling systems)
