Very much my daily. Here she is with summers on the seat after getting my winters put on - none of this garaging for winter for me!

I presume the other two tyres are in the boot? I had to do this when my new track tyres were erroneously delivered fifty miles from where I store my track wheels. It is possible to get four tyres in an ///M Coupe as long as you don't want to see anything in the passenger door and rear view mirrors 8)zmaster007 said:Very much my daily. As for using the car as a daily - I travel from cambridge to peterborough and back every day, most definitely a daily driver for me. Such an event every time, love a good motorway slip road!
We use out 35i every day helped with a set of BMW winter tires as needed.
The twin clutch auto box,full power at 1200rpm and adjustable suspension makes it a great everyday car.
Only down side is the lack of cabin space and the low height of view,easily solved in the 4x4

Mines a weekend car. Not strictly off road for winter but I can't see me using it until March/ April now, when the weather starts tidying up.

Yep proper daily in town paved roads traffic motorway small sweeping bumpy country lanes. I use it between cars (with 4 seats that is). Specifically since getting my 330xd nicked in Sept until en of Nov 240 km round trip to work.
Well its a tiring car to drive enhanced by the chassis mods obviously). Dimensions are challenging to say the least in town (pavements, bollards, other cars). On motorway its a great cruiser but when it rain heavily feels like you're in submersible when passing bug SUV and lorries. Cars gets filthy but as its quite small in and out its an easy clean! quite economical too (10.5 to 11.5 lts: 100 km). biggest worry are the cops obviously, sometimes you just want to, have fun. In bad weather ie: low greasy temperatures etc its not treacherous (if you just have some respect for it and apply a minimum of driving technique). Have driven it in the frost before and then you're strepping on egg shells.
Drove it first time in 2 months yesterday and first thing I though was just how (on the right side) of intimidating it was. Went for an 1 hr blast and it was of course fantastic. Was glad to get back into the A8's warm armchair in traffic on the way home though

Mine's currently daily and has been since I bought it around two years ago - although I don't do many miles as I use the company vehicle for work.
Due to changing circumstances meaning I'm doing more miles personally I've promised to get a cheap daily a little later this year...
... but for now we'll rock on in the rain and the grit and the snow (eurgh!) :thumbsdown:

So, tried mine for some city driving the last few days.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.
Potholes everywhere, felt like I was in the fairground on the dodgems. Stop start was a pain. All the bumps were jarring (don't think the 35/30 profiles on my CSLs helped). All things considered, I'll take SWMBOs Clio next time.
My conclusion is that my zed (now named Zara
) is not cut out for shitty city driving. She much prefers open roads and hooning runs. No more city slogging.
I want the car in my wedding pics in May, then she's up for sale
It's not fair to keep her caged in the garage. Plus I need a car I can ditch in a car park and not have palpitations worrying about it while I'm shopping....
