who to contact at Bmw for good will?

As mentioned by others have you tried another dealer.
I have dealt with Blue Bell in Crewe over the past two years and had some work done by them under an AUC warranty .
I purchased the Z in a private sale with 6 months left on the warranty.
Is it the Chester branch you are having grief with.
Halliwell jones Chester refused the warranty claim but the supplying dealer was Halliwell jones warrington.
Maybe I will try another dealer am just concerned the warranty will be refused again.
Trading standards,BMW UK and Motorcodes have been contacted. Going to Citizens advice this friday.
Would Blue bell be a better choice over Williams Liverpool?
Thank you for your reply

"Good Will" doesn't work at BMW anymore, he got offered a job at the Apple store and left a while ago. His replacement "Robin Git" is not quite as nice to deal with.

Unfortunately Apple lost him at a Chinese sweat shop!

Have you tried contacting Tim Abott yet?

Tabbie

Maybe now might be a good time to go out of the area and try a real Dealer
There must be Dealers adjacent to N Wales who come with a good reference sheet
As I said my Dealer in Sussex had no qualms in handling it for you
Its my plan B for sure,I honestly feel like screaming.
Thanks yet again Wegras

Emailed the address Navid gave me earlier [email protected] and also sent a enquiry form on the bmw.co.uk site last week.
Not forgetting I also have phoned bmw warranty helpline.
:tumbleweed:
thanks

Tabbie, drop me a PM if you want a contact and tel number. I had my alloys replaced as a good will last year, they paid for 3 and I paid for 1....decent bloked there helped me out...

This is disgusting treatment from a dealer, make a placard stating 'BMW warranties are worthless from Halliwell Jones' and walk up and down around the dealer, invite the local press as well.

BMW UK bought me a new motor, the car was out of warranty and I had fitted it myself.
The local dealer was not very interested but did what was required
But bmw UK customer service were absolutely splendid.

Sent a email late last night to bmw customer service, fingers crossed I should at least get a response. At this moment in time am ready to leave bmw,i honestly can not believe the way i have been treated by the dumb ass dealers. :x

Tabbie,

dealers are independently managed although part of BMW but don't blame BMW as a group for the bad standard of your local dealer. Not all the dealers are bad, there are some great ones and some very poor ones.

let's hope your issue gets sorted soon

I have not used Williams Liverpool .It cant do any harm to give Blue Bell a phone call and explain the situation.
If you want i can give you my name, saying i recommended them.

Thank you for your reply Maxman and everyone elses! Been to Citizens Advice today and they told me am doing everything correctly. Phoned Bmw.uk again and my two emails are not on my record :? Anyway they are now looking into it and shall ring me monday. But yes I shall speak to Blue Bell for a second opinion

Tabbie, did you manage to get your problem sorted?
My zed is currently at Williams in Liverpool took everyones advice and spoke to a proper dealer! They have been brilliant so far I can not praise them enough!! Fingers crossed I shall know more tomorrow Rhys and will update you :D

I got goodwill from BMW for the part costs myself, good luck!

My dealer inspected the failed part and claimed that it had failed due to water ingress and not a manufacturing fault. I had to explain that this was exactly the point I was trying to make, a roof motor should not fail due to water ingress and a later re-design of the part had helped fix this. In the end BMW UK agreed :)

A final update my roof motor was fixed under warranty but not by Halliwell Jones(the supplying dealer) who's aftersales is simply shocking! I shall never set foot on a Halliwell Jones forecourt ever again. Williams of Liverpool were brilliant and truely professional from start to finish I can not praise them enough. Thank you for everyones advice this forum has been priceless!
