Yes they are still telling me due to water igress the roof motor is'nt covered under the Auc warranty, your 100% correct Wegras they ar'nt a normal main dealer they are special to say the least!wegras said:Again can't believe they are asking you to contact BMW
In my experience it is the Dealer who contacts BWM and supports "a" case ( same with Volvo )
But then I suppose these idiots are not your normal Main Dealer
Are they still claiming it is not covered by the AUC warranty
Yes its a bmw main dealer and my car is still under the AUC 12 month warranty, owned it 3 months and 2 days when the roof failed. Have explained many times that the roof failure is a common problem, yet no joy! There is a post explaining everything from start to finish. Thank you for your replies.JimmyPop said:Is it a BMW Dealer? If so, demand that they contact BMW on your behalf. My roof motor stopped working out of warranty. I argued my point to the dealer on the basis of a full BMW service history, the fact that my car was in good condition for its age and relatively low mileage. I also went full guns blazing with regards to my knowledge on the roof motor problem and quoted this website.
Took about 4 or 5 days, but eventually BMW agreed to pay it![]()
