Drove up to John O'Groats today, bought some tat in the gift shop and got 3 crisp Scottish one pound notes in the change .........
Just seen they are selling on ebay for nearly three pounds each :D

Egyptian Pounds, I presume.... :evil:
 
I have not seen one for a wee while. I used to keep them and give them to visitors from the southern country.
 
My Dad likes to locate them to give as 'Lucky Pounds' for a purse or wallet. I didn't even think they were still in existence although there has never been any advice that they have been removed from circulation.

I think it's just a lot of people don't like paying with and getting pound notes and so shops try and off load them or refuse them where they can.

So you sticking them on Ebay? I never knew they were worth more than a pound on there. I've got a few neatly in a wee money box along with a Jack Nicklaus fiver and a £2 from the last Rugby World Cup.
 
He must have been ready to go for a date with all that money in his pocket ....

Well, not by him at least. He did buy it second hand though .... :lol:
 
It needed to be remoulded - it was way too small. Now fits perfectly and is feather thin ;)
