My BMW warranty runs out later this month and not sure who to go with. Warranty Direct have offered £380 with zero excess (first call so sure I can haggle further) against BMW of £442 or £41 monthly (Cannot Haggle). Question is is it worth the hassle when it comes to claim time with WD.

So who are you with?
 
I don't have EW yet, but have been looking into it.

The good thing about WD is that they don't have the "it's broken because it's worn out" clause, but BMW do, so bare that in mind.

yes that was pointed out to me, just consumables that arent covered apparently.
 
I have the Tesco one and it's very comprehensive, did not know it's no longer available :thumbsdown:
 
BMW. Although it seems like Wolverhampton like to crawl out of anything possible....

Car is due in for work on the 7th. but the whole experience of wanting work done to the car is a bit laborious.

Apparently they need to do a 1 hour check on the whole car to determine if it is Worthy of warranty work.

Despite the fact i bought the sodding car one month ago from Snows Porstmouth BMW!!!! :headbang:
 
I have mine through RAC via the independent car dealership from where i bought the car. Seemed like a good warranty at the time with the car going back to a BMW dealership if I was unlucky enough to have to have used it. Pretty good regarding items that it covers also.

However, it cost £700 for 3 years which I believe is more than a 3 year BMW warranty?

I only wish that I had joined this forum before I purchased it :headbang:

no that's less... bmw would be £1326 (£442 p.a.). Warranty direct would be £1140 (£380 p.a.).
 
My car needs EW too in 3 weeks time. BMW have quoted 981 with 0 excess, I have warranty wise who have quoted less but have restrictions of labour rate etc. apparently BMW charge £108/hr for labour.
 
Just renewed with BMW.

£346 for 12 months comprehensive warranty on my 3.0i 2003 (45k miles), with a £250 excess. The difference for me between £0 excess and £250 was only £70 in premium, so figured I'd chance it. Worth paying, I think, especially when it comes with the breakdown cover.

Did u call them to get a quote coz they dont have Z4M on their car list only Z4. I have tried to get a quote from warranty wise which is about 700 and BMW about 950. Dont know what to do.

I paid more for the no excess policy but it could easily pay for itself with a couple of claims on the M's from past experience. If you're unlucky enough to have anything go wrong you might start to think the price is more reasonable. Even if nothing does go wrong it's worth it for the peace of mind in my opinion.
 
Yes i called them and got a quote chetalien the £750 is the luxury car full cover its the same price as an M3 as they say the engine is different ! havent noticed myself :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :thumbsup:
 
Defo BMW warranty, zero no claims - is the way to go
No quibble, no money outlay - no worries
 
So how much is the BMW warranty then jamiez? the thing is with the BMW warranty one its not actually from BMW but a company called Meridian i think and TWO most importantly in my opinion it doesnt cover wear and tear BMW much like AUDI and most other manufacturers always dive for the loophole well of course its worn you have used it ! at least the only thing not covered on WARRANTY DIRECT is the consumables everything else is totally covered .Im really interested to see what BMW offer you and how much they charge !
