Who have you seen that you'd consider great Live in Concert

Thrice were the best live band I have seen. Saw them in London one week then flew to Paris to see them the next week. Considering going to the states to see them as they don't tour this side of the pond enough

Going to see Marrilion in Nov at the Symphony Hall in Brum no Fish now though
Been a bit since I caught Marillion it was back in 1991 :?

Catch up with their live gigs in Holland on You Tube, it’s good stuff. It is Marrilion with Orchestra on this years tour, bit different to the 80s stuff but the guitar work is still a slick as ever

So I guess there's a few Marillion/Fish fans here....
There's simply no accounting for bad taste  :fuelfire:
:exitright:

You can NOT knock Cabaret Voltaire, let alone seeing them at the legendary Hacienda!
You're simply wrong John, on all levels!
 :P

Tom Jones ....best live male
Kate Rusby.....best live female
Stereophonics...best live band
Bryan Adams...good
Lennie Kravitz...good
Jools Holland...good
Elton John...crap!
Loads more, can't remember off the top of my head

They used to claim inspiration from Kraftwerk and were on the Factory label for a while....New Order/Tony Wilsons label....and played regularly at New Order/Tony Wilsons club, The Hacienda. So er wannabees, no. Peers, yes.

Rod Stewart
Gary Glitter & Glitter Band, before he got found out.
Too many to list in Fiesta sheffield 1970's
Mungo Jerry in Baileys Sheffield 1975  gorgeous backing singers.

Bryan Adams at Wembley Arena.
Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall.
Oasis in Finsbury Park - that won't happen again!
U2 in Cardiff.
Status Quo at Westonbirt Arboretum.
David Gilmour at Hyde Park, playing Dark Side of the Moon Live - Nick Mason appeared on the drums!
Rolling Stones at Twickenham.
Green Day at Wembley.
Muse at the Etihad.
Foo Fighters at Reading and nearly again at Wembley, but Dave broke his leg! Had to wait until last year at the London Stadium.

I'm sure I've missed quite a few though!

Standout disappointment was Guns 'N' Roses at the Liverpool Echo Arena, partly because it was before Slash returned, but mostly because Axel did his usual two hours late cr*p. :headbang: Mind you Thin Lizzy as support, even without Phil Lynott, were brilliant.

Muse are amazing live. Got tickets to see Simulation Theory tour in Manchester this summer.

AC/DC at Monsters of Rock - Donington 91... motley crue also played that day and were much better than expected

The Charlatans in Wolverhampton around 2002

Oasis in Bangkok in 2007

I should also have added....

Jerry Lee Lewis

Status Quo twice while Rick Parfitt was still alive.

First big gig was Stevie Wonder in 1984 (I was 11) which was good.
Then came Cliff Richard in 1985, still in his pop/rocky period.

Best ever (no-one will beat it!) was U2 in 1992, the ZooTV Tour. Jesus christ they were on fire then...

Paul McCartney 1989 was great too.
