Don't worry peddy, I had red stuff on my 3.0i for over a year and they were fine. Do agree when cold (ie first setting off in winter) that the initial bite was poor, but never had a problem and was my daily driver

the yellow is even more agressive and still no noise!!! i promise fran youll LOVE these with your APs.... the only problem with pagid?? eye wateringly expensive.....ran on some lanes this afternoon in my ///M, the brakes are definatly a defining part of the drive....
An update. Spoken to CA Automotive today and the Axxis ULT's are no longer produced and they have now sold all the end stock. As a result I have gone for replacement OEM discs with Stoptech Street Performance pads and Goodridge hoses and Castrol React Performance fluid as the chosen combination. My local and very trusted Indy is doing the work. Is there a way of resetting the calender service interval without affecting the main countdown. I don't want my time till Insp II changed!
Can I check: do you need to replace the sensors with the pads or can you put the existing sensors back in. They pads are not worn to the sensor. Thx.
I need to retract my statement re the pad noise on mine... 
They are hella squeaky. Think race car levels of noise and you're half way there :O

They need to be punished regularly to keep the noise down otherwise the squeak creeps in. On a run tomorrow and on track Monday so that should see them right again

Am still planning on trying the BlueStuff NDX (F: DP5689NDX, R: DP51118NDX) ones out though, and I know the soon-to-be-launched OrangeStuff is designed specifically for race applications (and as a rival to the Pagid RS29 pad).

To be frank, the noise really doesn't bother me much. But then with the supersprint race boxes out back and gruppem up front I'm getting used to loud. :evil:I have redstuff they are great work really well on mountain roads ... no noise but i bed them in properly and Father in Law spent more time fitting them than the average garage making sure fit was spot on... and others have said copper grease in the right places.

If you've never done the Nordschleife before then I would suggest a brake upgrade is not necessary. If you go out on your first trip driving at speeds which require an upgrade to your brakes without first getting to know the circuit, 73 bends in 13 miles, then you are more likely to get intimate with the Armco than the straits and bends. Just make sure what you have is in good condition and working and get a few trips/laps under your belt before any upgrades - not called the Green Hell for nothing...... .
Enjoy it - it's addictive but don't forget the insurance issues - your UK policy doesn't cover you during Touristfahrten (when its open to the public as a tollroad).
